Hotels in Japan are known for their excellent service and cleanliness. Luxury hotels in the larger cities can compete with the best hotels in the world and offer a wide range of services, from health clubs and massage services to business centers and restaurant and shopping arcades.

■Class A
Moderate hotels in large cities catering to tourists come with standard features such as minibar, bilingual cable TV with pay movies and English channels such as CNN and BBC, clock, radio, cotton kimono, hot-water pot and tea (and occasionally coffee), a hair dryer, and a private bathroom with a tub-and-shower combination.
Daily rates: 100USD–200USD
■Class B
Hotels in this category are no-frills establishments with smaller rooms, yet they are furnished with everything you need such as private bath, air-conditioning, TV and telephone. They are the hotels of choice for budget travelers.

Participants wishing to reserve hotel accommodation and tours should apply online or fax the filled form to reach JTB GMT no later than July 29, 2010. (Confirmation sheet will be sent by JTB GMT.)
Application should be accompanied by a remittance covering the hotel deposit (one night room charge) and/or total tour fare due to JTB GMT. (The hotel deposit will be credited to your bill. All hotel expenses deducted from the hotel deposit should be paid directly to the hotel.)
No reservation will be confirmed in the absence of this payment. All payment must be in Japanese yen. If the remitter's name is different from the participant's name or the remittance covers more than one person, please inform us of the name of each participant.

RYOKAN (Japanese inn)
 You
have no doubt read about the traditional inns of Japan and
their attentive hospitality. Most such “ryokan” are built of wood
in traditional architectural styles, and guests sleep on smooth
“tatami” (woven straw) mats between cozy quilts. A dinner
featuring Japanese delicacies is usually served in your room.
Near Kobe, hot spring areas such as Arima Spa (26km, or 16miles from venue, approx. 1 hour drive) and Takeda-o Spa (44km, or 27miles, and approx. 2 hours drive) have many ryokan where visitors can enjoy the atmosphere,
hospitality and relaxing hot springs.
The price range for a traditional ryokan is between JPY15,000 and JPY50,000
per person, per night, including dinner and breakfast.

1. Access to Osaka from Kobe
By Train (amount of time required: Approx. 55 min):
Take Port Liner to Sannomiya Station(JPY 240 / 16 min), and then take Special Rapid Service from JR Sannomiya Station to JR Osaka Station(JPY 390 / 25 min)
2. Access to Kyoto from Kobe
By taxi and shinkansen (amount of time required: Approx. 70 min):
Take taxi to Shin-Kobe(JPY 1,900 / 25min), and then take shinkansen Super-Express "bullet" train (JPY 3,740 / 29 min)
By Train (amount of time required: Approx. 90min) :
Take Port Liner to Sannomiya Station(JPY 240 / 16 min), and then take Special Rapid Service from JR Sannomiya Station to JR Kyoto Station (JPY 1,050 / 50min)
3. Access to Nara from Kobe
