Access to Kobe
■From Kansai International Airport (KIX) (Recommended)
Kansai International Airport (KIX) is recommended for arrival and departure flights, as it is the closest international airport to Kobe. Convenient and economical limousine buses operate frequently between the airport and Kobe.
- By Limousine Bus: 70 min. to Sannomiya Station, approx. JPY1,900 OW, JPY3,000 RT → 10 min. to Shimin-Hiroba Station by Port Liner JPY240 or 15 min. by taxi, approx. JPY1,500.
- By Bay Shuttle Ferry: 29 min. to Kobe Airport, approx. JPY1,500 → 8 min. to Shimin-Hiroba Station by Port Liner JPY240

Courtesy of Kobe City, 6,000 free Port Liner tickets for unlimited travel during the congress period are available. Ticket will be distributed at registration desk to all who completed registration by July 29, 2010. For those who will register on site, ticket will be available on a first-come, first served basis while supplies last.
■From Tokyo
Participants arriving at Narita International Airport (NRT) have the option of traveling via land or by air to the Kobe area.
By Air: A domestic flight from Narita to Osaka's Itami Airport takes approximately one hour. There are only a few flights available daily. Making a reservation before leaving your country is recommended.
A domestic flight from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Osaka's Itami Airport or Kobe Airport also takes approximately one hour.
- From Osaka Itami Airport: by Limousine Bus: approx.
40 min. to Sannomiya Station, JPY1,020→10 min. to Shimin-Hiroba Station by Port Liner JPY240 or 15 min. by taxi, approx. JPY1,500.

1. Access to Osaka from Kobe
By Train (amount of time required: Approx. 55 min):
Take Port Liner to Sannomiya Station(JPY 240 / 16 min), and then take Special Rapid Service from JR Sannomiya Station to JR Osaka Station(JPY 390 / 25 min)
2. Access to Kyoto from Kobe
By taxi and shinkansen (amount of time required: Approx. 70 min):
Take taxi to Shin-Kobe(JPY 1,900 / 25min), and then take shinkansen Super-Express "bullet" train (JPY 3,740 / 29 min)
By Train (amount of time required: Approx. 90min) :
Take Port Liner to Sannomiya Station(JPY 240 / 16 min), and then take Special Rapid Service from JR Sannomiya Station to JR Kyoto Station (JPY 1,050 / 50min)
3. Access to Nara from Kobe
By Train (amount of time required: Approx. 120 min):
Take Port Liner to Sannomiya Station(JPY 240 / 16 min),
and then take Rapid Express from KINTETSU Sannomiya Station to KINTETSU Nara Station(JPY 940 / 90 min)
