Opening Ceremony

August 22, 2010, 17:00 Portopia Hall at Kobe Portopia Hotel.

Entry to the Opening Ceremony is limited to 3,000 on a first-come, first-served basis. Portopia Hall can accommodate up to 1,700 while Kairaku/Waraku rooms hold 1,300. At Kairaku and Waraku rooms, located on the B1F of the Kobe Portopia Hotel, you can view and listen to the proceedings via live transmission.

Meriken Park Party

For those who have not reserved a place at the Official Party or in case it is fully booked, the Meriken Park Party is open to all, which is held by the waterfront with a fascinating city panorama and fireworks display. Please enjoy this Japanese summer outdoor party.
Admission is free. In case of rain, this party may be cancelled.

During the period of ICI 2010, a special discount of 5-10 percent is applicable at certain shops and restaurants in Kobe city, by just showing the Congress ID card.

JAPANESE CULTURE PROGRAM

All programs are fully booked. Thank you.

You can learn and experience Japanese Culture hands-on during the congress period.
Programs last for around two hours and are mainly aimed at accompanying persons, but congress participants can also drop in for a quick experience. Admission is free. Walk-in guests are also welcome while seats are available.


Morning session of each program is 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Afternoon session is 1:30PM -3:30PM. Programs will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please be sure to arrive on time.
